Åpenhetsloven / The Transparency Act

The Transparency Act was enacted by the Norwegian government and came into force on 1 July 2022. The act aims to promote companies’ respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions and ensure the general public access to information regarding how companies address adverse impact of these.

The Act required companies to carry out due diligence assessments in order to stop, prevent and limit negative consequences on human rights and decent working conditions.
